Our remanufactured racks have a limited lifetime warranty. This warranty is not transferable and does not apply to products whose power steering oil does not meet requirements, bellows are damaged or that the main shaft under the end caps is rusted . No warranty will be applicable in these cases. Rods and end caps have a one year warranty on parts only. For parts with guaranteed labor or our other products, please see the detailed return conditions for more details and how to proceed.
HY: The part has a limited lifetime warranty as well as a 1 year labor warranty according to the detailed return conditions.
MS: The parts and the labor are guaranteed for 1 year according to the detailed return conditions.
SB: The parts are only guaranteed for 1 year according to the detailed return conditions.
REMANUFACTURED EPS: The parts and labor are guaranteed for 1 year according to the detailed return conditions.
NEW EPS: The parts are guaranteed for 2 years and the labor is guaranteed for 1 year according to the detailed return conditions.
For any warranty, you must first contact one of our clerks, to take advantage of technical support before making a change of part on the vehicle, then obtain an authorization number if the change is deemed necessary. You will need to provide the following information:
The part number, the name of garage owner, the reason for the return as well as a copy of the invoice for the first installation and that of the replacement with the full description of the vehicle, namely: the brand, model, year and vehicle registration number with your previously authorized return number.

After verification and approval of the defect, a credit will be issued to you in full, that is, the part and the component, upon return of the component. For labor, the amount will be granted to you on the same credit according to the pre-authorized conditions of Monsieur Crémaillère (1985) inc. Please note that transportation costs are not covered.
All returned defective parts which will be rusted or damaged by negligence or by chance will be partially refused. You will be given credit for the part. However, you will not be given any credit for the original price of the component. It is the responsibility of the customer to check the condition of the part to ensure the validity of their warranty before making the change and not to damage it during the change.
Guarantees of less than one year must be checked and approved by a technician from Monsieur Crémaillère (1985) inc. Once the part is approved, an amount of $ 30 an hour will be granted to you with reference to the number of hours established in Mr. Crémaillère’s online catalog only. Please note, no alignment or programming will be covered.
Please note that the tie rods are included with the rack to reduce the chances of water getting into them. On the other hand, the rods are separate parts, they are only guaranteed for one year and without labor. Consequently, the customer cannot claim a defective part due to loose links or costs will be charged to him or her as a return of a new part at 10% of the price expected to cover the handling of the part.
If the distributor grants a credit without the approval of one of our technicians, he will have to make sure that the warranty conditions have been respected, ie undamaged part, “shaft” under the non-rusted rubber end caps. Otherwise, the distributor must assume full responsibility for a credit not approved by Mr. Crémaillère (1985) inc.
Attention important change!
All “MS” electric power racks sold after January 1, 2019 will be guaranteed for 1 year. For those which were sold before this date, the lifetime warranty will be respected if the return conditions are respected.
A charge of 20% of the price will be charged to you on the original discounted price for all “EPS” racks returned new in an unopened box, to defray the costs of transport, handling and packaging.
No electronic parts can be returned as new after having been installed on a vehicle or having been handled by the customer because this will entail a return cost of 50% of the part on the discounted price in addition to the transport costs according to your agreement. Please note that Monsieur Crémaillère reserves the right at any time to refuse any open box.
Return costs will be charged to you for damaged components or rusted “shafts” on certain specific models (EPS). Please refer to the online catalog.
No alignment or programming are covered for hydraulic racks, electric power racks and electronic EPS racks.
All racks with an “S” code and red in the online catalog will have a charge if the “shafts” are rusted. It is the distributor’s responsibility to properly inform his customer of the possibility of additional costs, half price on the return of an component if it is damaged. Consult the online catalog.
For all racks returned without authorization as well as parts declared non-defective or changed for defective steering rods without the rack being in default, a charge of 10% will be charged to you on the original discounted price. In certain cases, delivery costs will be charged if applicable. The 10% charge on the return of new racks is still in effect on “MS” and “PS”.
Vehicles used for commercial purposes are not covered by the lifetime warranty as well as racing vehicles or vehicles with modified suspensions. In addition, racks damaged due to abuse, accidents or faulty facilities are not covered. Monsieur Crémaillère reserves the right to make an irrevocable decision whether a part is defective or not. By purchasing Monsieur Crémaillère products, you accept the manufacturer’s warranty conditions.
